Questions and answers
Is my account safe?
The app only reads the log file that Hearthstone writes on your computer — the same file Hearthstone Deck Tracker and Firestone read. It doesn't read the game's memory, doesn't press anything for you and doesn't change the game. You make every move yourself.
How do I install it?
Download the installer, accept the terms and allow one administrator prompt: the app raises the game’s log size limit in a file inside the game folder. Restart Hearthstone once. Step by step — on the installation page. Installation
How accurate are the numbers?
Each number is checked against what really happened before it goes on the panel. On 253 real fights the win chance matched the real win rate within 6.3 points in every band; the usual hp loss was off by 1.9 hp on average. These are games of one player, so the beta collects games from other ratings to check the numbers there.
Where do the numbers come from?
Fights are simulated with Firestone's open-source Battlegrounds simulator: your board against the boards real players fielded on the same turn. The place forecast comes from a model trained on real games.
Why are there no numbers sometimes?
With an empty board there is nothing to measure. On very late turns there are few reference boards, so the panel uses neighbouring turns and stays silent if even those aren't enough. If a game has cards the app doesn't know yet, the numbers are hidden until you update: a wrong number is worse than none.
Why does it ask for administrator rights?
Hearthstone stops writing its log at 10 MB, and a Battlegrounds game is about 40 MB. The limit lives in client.config inside the game folder, which needs administrator rights to change. The app asks once and fixes it again only if a game update resets it.
The panel doesn't show over the game
Play Hearthstone in windowed mode: exclusive fullscreen can hide other windows. The panel also hides when the game is not in front. Ctrl+Shift+O turns it on and off while the game is in front.
What is sent, and can I turn it off?
After each Battlegrounds game, the game log with every name and account ID removed, plus the app version, game build and whether the panel was on screen. Turn off “Send anonymized games” in the Tavern Seer window to stop (click the tray icon to open it); games not sent yet are deleted at once. Details — on the privacy page. Privacy
Does it work on Mac?
No. Windows 10 and 11 only.
