What leaves your computer
Sent after each game
After each Battlegrounds game, the app cuts that game out of the Hearthstone log, removes every player name, BattleTag and account ID on your computer, compresses it and sends it to us together with the app version, the game build number and whether the panel was on screen.
Sending is automatic. You agree to it in the installer, on the terms of use page.
Never collected
Your BattleTag, other players' names, your account ID, your rating, games from other modes, files other than the game log. We don't store IP addresses. The error log stays on your computer.
See it and stop it
“What is sent” in the Tavern Seer window opens the folder with the files waiting to be sent — the exact files that will leave. Turn off “Send anonymized games” there to stop: games not sent yet are deleted at once. Turning it on again starts from your next game.
Games already sent
A sent game contains nothing that points to you, and the app has no install ID, so we can't find your games and can't delete them on request.
Why and where
We use the games only to make the numbers more accurate for players of every level. Sent games are kept for 5 months, with Cloudflare and on our side, then deleted. Statistics built from them stay.
Updates
At start and every 6 hours the app asks updates.tavernseer.com whether there is a new version and downloads it if there is. The request carries nothing about you. An update installs only if it is signed with our key.
